Behemoth Chicken is a character from The Behemoth. It is a giant chicken that is the mascot of the company.
Background[]
In 2002, Tom Fulp and Dan Paladin collaborated together to create the flash game Alien Hominid. The game was popular, gaining twenty million hits on Newgrounds. Later that year, Paladin was working on a console video game when he was approached by co-worker John Baez. Baez was a fan of Alien Hominid, and asked Paladin if he wanted to further develop the game for consoles. Baez offered to produce the game, so Paladin and Fulp agreed. The group recruited programmers Brandon LaCava and Nick Dryburgh, forming their company The Behemoth in 2003.
After the console release of Alien Hominid, the company went on to release different titles, such as Castle Crashers in 2008 and BattleBlock Theater in 2013.
The mascot for The Behemoth is Behemoth Chicken, a large, overweight chicken with a blue outline.

Character Interactions[]
Hatty Hattington[]
In BattleBlock Theater, all playable characters are referred to as "prisoners". The game's story mode shows that these prisoners are friends of Hatty Hattington, and they embarked on a journey on Hatty's ship. Their voyage ended abruptly when the ship got caught in a storm, and crashed onto BattleBlock Theater. The residents of the theater, the Cat Guards, capture Hatty and his friends, brainwashing Hatty to be their leader and forcing the crewmates to become actors in their dangerous theater plays. As Behemoth Chicken appears as a playable character, this means that Hatty befriended him prior to the game's events. Behemoth Chicken works with the other crewmates to escape BattleBlock Theater and rescue Hatty.
BattleBlock Theater[]
Behemoth Chicken makes a cameo appearance in BattleBlock Theater. A Head based on Behemoth Chicken was made as DLC from 05/15/2014 until 05/30/2014.[2]. It is available as DLC from the Steam Community Market.[3] Like the other Prisoners, he was a fellow crewmate and friend of Hatty Hattington. He was captured by the Cat Guards and was forced to entertain them in the BattleBlock Theater.
