The Gold Skull Mace is an item from the Newgrounds series. It is a symbol of the amount of Experience Points a Newgrounds user has based on the amount of submissions they rated on the Newgrounds website. The Gold Skull Mace is used to indicate the user is at level 56.
Background[]
Experience levels had been implemented on the Newgrounds in 1999. They were used to show how many point a user has gained from voting on media submitted to the Newgrounds website, and were symbolized with a weapon on the user's profile. The 2007 site redesign added other weapon icons, including the Gold Skull Mace. The Gold Skull Mace would be the user's experience level icon if they reach level 56, or have around 33,580 to 34,809 experience points.
Castle Crashers[]
The Gold Skull Mace appears as a weapon in Castle Crashers. In the original release, it is unlocked after buying the Necromantic Pack on the Xbox 360 version or by purchasing it from the in-game Insane Store on the Playstation 3 version for 2500 gold. The player needs to be at level 30 to wield. It has +2 Strength and has a 3% chance of dealing a Critical Strike, higher than any other weapon in the game.
In Castle Crashers Remastered, it is purchasable from the Insane Store for 900 gold. It's Strength has been boosted to +3, and it has a 4% chance of dealing a Critical Strike.
