NG Golden Sword is an item from the Newgrounds series. Newgrounds users have an icon in their profile that will change when users vote on a certain number of games, animations, music, and artwork submitted to Newgrounds. When a Newgrounds user reaches Level 57, the icon will change to the NG Golden Sword.

Every Newgrounds user has a Level stat that influences whether a flash submitted to Newgrounds.com should be saved or deleted. As a user votes on a certain amount of submitted content a day, the will gain points that will increase their level. A user with a higher level will have a greater voting power. The original 1999 release had the NG Golden Sword as the level icon for users who reached level 30, or had more than 43,946 points.[1] As of the 2007 redesign, a Newgrounds user can get to this rank by gaining around 34,810 to 36,069 experience points.
Newgrounds Rumble[]
The NG Golden Sword appears as a pickup in Newgrounds Rumble. If a character touches it, their body will emit a yellow glow and they become invincible for a short period of time.
Castle Crashers[]
The NG Golden Sword appears as a weapon in Castle Crashers. It was added January 14th, 2009. It is purchasable from the Insane Store for 3600 gold. It had +4 Strength, +3 Magic, 0 Defense, and -3 Agility. After an update, it was nerfed to have +6 Strength, +1 Magic, +1 Defense, and 0 Agility. Players must have an Xbox Live level of 30 in order to wield it.
In Castle Crashers Remastered, it has +5 Strength, +5 Magic, 0 Defense, and -3 Agility. This increases the amount of damage dealt to enemies, increase the amount of magical attacks available to the player, allows the magic bar to recharge for magical attacks quicker, and lowers the cost of magic attacks. However, The NG Golden Sword will weaken arrow attacks and slow down the user's running speed. It can be purchased from the Insane Store for 1200 Gold.
