Newgrounds Rumble

Alien Hominid

Tankman is committed to securing Newgrounds and views Alien Hominid as a potential danger to the website. Tankman encounters Alien Hominid in his Story mode, perceives him as a threat to the website, and sets out to defeat him.

Tankman's Story Part 3: "Field Duty"

Alloy

Alloy is an ally to Tankman. Both are committed to protecting Newgrounds, and are aware of the threat that Piconjo poses to the Newgrounds community. In order to prepare himself before he fight Piconjo, he enters a virtual reality program to train with Alloy.

In Alloy's story mode, he discovers Tankman being attacked by Piconjo and Salad Fingers. As he is a selfless person, Alloy interrupts the fight to protect Tankman.

Tankman's Story Part 1: "Virtual Brutality"

Convict

Tankman is Convict's first opponent in his story mode. Convict is attempting to destroy Newgrounds, and his first step in his plan is to take the form of a trusted figure to infiltrate Newgrounds. He decides that Tankman is adequate, so he pursues and defeats him.

Convict's Story Part 1: "Identity Theft"

Nene

In Piconjo's story, Tankman is having an affair with Nene. As one of them is in a relationship, the two attempt to keep the affair a secret.

P-Bot

While it is both Tankman and P-Bot's responsibility to protect Newgrounds, P-Bot dislikes Tankman as he has a large ego as the face of Newgrounds. Tankman appears as P-Bot's third opponent in his story. P-Bot's duty is to protect Newgrounds, and he observes the tank Tankman drives causes damage while driving it. P-Bot believes that he is being irresponsible and arrogant, and engages Tankman in combat to stop his heedless driving.

P-Bot's Story Part 1: "Civil Disobedience"

Character Dialogue Notes Narration "For too long, Tankman has wrecklessly (sic) torn through the streets of Newgrounds on his high and mighty tank. Step in and restore civility." Description from part 4 of P-Bot's story.

Pico

Pico is mentioned in the final part of Tankman's story, where he is viewed as a rival for control of Newgrounds. After locating Piconjo, Tankman realizes that if Piconjo is defeated, his influence over Newgrounds could surpass that of Pico.

Piconjo

Piconjo appears as Tankman's final opponent in his story mode. Tankman is eager to kill Piconjo due to his threat towards Newgrounds. Tankman is successful, and Piconjo's death persuades Newgrounds' public to have Tankman become the website's leader.

In Piconjo's story, he is attempting to destroy Newgrounds, and seeks out to kill its key figures. He becomes aware of an affair between Nene and Tankman, and that the two are meeting in private. With both of them off guard, Piconjo uses this as an opportunity to attack them.

In the first Newgrounds Rumble Challenge, Piconjo is again antagonizing Newgrounds, this time by submitting spam submissions and exposing himself in public. A group of Newgrounds heroes, including Tankman, are dispatched to stop him.

Tankman's Story Part 4: "Ground Zero"

Piconjo's Story Part 2: "Where the Enemy Sleeps"

Salad Fingers

As Salad Fingers is an ally to Alien Hominid, Tankman views him as a threat to the safety of Newgrounds. In his mission to eliminate Alien Hominid and his potential danger towards Newgrounds, Tankman discovers that Alien Hominid has befriended Salad Fingers, a mentally insane man. Salad Fingers is protecting his new friend, and must also be defeated.

Samurai Asshole

Samurai Asshole is on a violent rampage throughout Newgrounds in an attempt to locate the individual accountable for the devastation of his village. As a Newgrounds guardian, Tankman intervenes to protect others from harm. Samurai Asshole is Tankman's second opponent in his story mode. Tankman's training is interrupted when he learns of Samurai Asshole's violent behavior towards others. Samurai Asshole is searching for the person who devastated his village; motivated by retribution, he attacks innocent people without discrimination. Tankman steps in to stop his onslaught.

Tankman's Story Part 2: "A Fork in the Warpath"

Friday Night Funkin'

Boyfriend

Boyfriend first meets Tankman after he and Girlfriend fell from a plane, in an attempt by Girlfriend's parents to murder him. As they land in the Restricted War Zone, Tankman has two of his men hold Girlfriend hostage. He says that in normal circumstances he should kill them for trespassing, but because he is bored, instead challenges Boyfriend to a singing contest. Tankman loses the first part of the sing off, and sarcastically congratulates Boyfriend. He then ridicules him for being devoted to Girlfriend. After the second singing contest, Tankman loses again. Instead of freeing Girlfriend, he orders the other Tankmen to kill her, mocking her fate to Boyfriend. Pico rescues Girlfriend, pushing her into Boyfriend's arms. With no other options, Tankman challenges Boyfriend to one final sing off, calling Boyfriend and Girlfriend "cunts", shocking Boyfriend. In the middle of the final sing off, Tankman does genuinely complement Boyfriend's skill at singing, indicating a begrudging respect for his abilities.

Should Boyfriend lose the competition, Tankman will deride Boyfriend further, mocking his failure, ridiculing his appearance, or outright saying he doesn't like Boyfriend.

Week 7 "Ugh" Dialogue

Week 7 "Guns" Dialogue

Week 7 "Stress" Dialogue

Character Dialogue Notes Tankman "God effing dammit! Well played, you little shit! But this is WAR! And in war... people DIE! Men, get ready to fire! Sorry, no prom for you this year, ha ha ha!" The two Tankmen holding Girlfriend hostage draw their guns towards her. Girlfriend's left eye begins to glow red, signifying that she is preparing to attack them. Before she can, Pico appears, pistol-whipping one and pushing Girlfriend into Boyfriend's arms. He draws his gun into the other Tankman's face, who screams as he is being shot and killed. Tankman "Ah, look who it is! Your sexually ambiguous, angry little friend! Don't you have a school to shoot up? There's one way to settle this. Let's rock, ya little cunt!" [laughs] "Ya little cunts!"

Week 7 Game Over Dialogue

Character Dialogue Notes Tankman "Hey, here's some Friday Night Funkin' lore for ya! I don't like you!" These randomized phrases are said when the player recieves a Game Over. Tankman "No Wonder your parents hate you." [laughs] Tankman "Maybe you should go play Week 1 again." [laughs] Tankman "That was terrible. Just terrible." Tankman "Oh my god! What the hell was that!? What the hell. Was. That?" Tankman "The only thing you're funkin' tonight is your sock." [laughs] Tankman "Can you even feed yourself!? Can you even walk straight?" Tankman "Why am I wasting my time against some baggy-pantsed punk?" Tankman "I hope you're not some internet streamer screaming like a sociopath right now!" Tankman "If you can't beat me, how are you gonna survive this harsh and cruel world, hmm?" Tankman "You gotta press the arrows, kid. Not slap your keyboard like your blind uncle, what?" Tankman "Eh, you're gettin' closer! I wouldn't brag about it though." Tankman "My dead grandmother has more nimble fingers! C'mon!" Tankman "You just make me wanna cry." Tankman "You're ugly and you can't keep a rhythm! Truly, you are cursed." Tankman "Good lord, what the hell is your problem, man? [burp] Just do it right, please!" Tankman "Man, are you tired of eating shit yet?" [laughs] Tankman "I said let's rock, not suck cock." [laughs] Tankman "'Congratulations, you won!' That's what I would say if you weren't such a goddamn failure." [laughs] Tankman "You know I'm running out of shit to say here so you better beat this sometime today, asshole." Tankman "Maybe if you had more friends, you'd be less depressed and play better, hm?" Tankman "I guess your shitty blue hair dye got in your eyes. It's okay, it happens to all of us." Tankman "Open your fucking eyes, geez."

Girlfriend

During the singing competition, Tankman instructs his men to hold Girlfriend as a captive. Girlfriend complies with the order, and keeps her hands raised throughout the competition. Despite this, Girlfriend is nonchalant, constantly smiling and dancing along to the music. Tankman loses to Boyfriend twice in the challenge, and insults Girlfriend after each loss. He calls her "ugly", which makes her cry, and she turns blue with shock after being called a "cunt". When Tankman orders the other Tankmen to kill her, Girlfriend remains calm, and prepares to attack the soldiers, though this is interrupted as she is rescued by Pico.

Pico

Pico prevents the attack on Girlfriend by rushing to the site and slaying the two Tankmen responsible for her capture. Upon seeing Pico, Tankman mocks his relationship with Boyfriend and mocks the school shooting that happened in his past, insinuating that Pico was the was the one responsible for the school shooting. Tankman is aware that Pico stopped the shooting, but is slandering Pico to upset him.
