Thief is a character from Castle Crashers. Thieves are hired arms tasked to steal weapons or assist in kidnapping the princesses. They appear as enemies who are attempting to kidnap and sell the Princesses for a high price.

Background

Thieves typically work for the antagonists, however, one Thief is a playable character and can help the Knights on their journey. A Thief first makes an appearance looting the dead body of a Gray Knight in the Barbarian War. During the Knights' fight against the Barbarian Boss, a group of Thieves kidnap the Orange, Green, and Blue Princesses. The Knights catch up with the Thieves, witnessing them selling the Orange Princess to the Industrial Prince. The Knights trail the Thieves who have the other Princesses to the Tall Grass Field, where the Thieves give them to the Frost King and Cyclops. Defeating the two Thieves who abducted the Princesses, the Knights first go after the Cyclops, who attempts to force the Green Princess to marry the Conehead Groom. They gather at the Conehead Groom's church, killing him, but his body is discovered by the Cyclops, who kidnaps the Green Princess in revenge. He flees on a chariot as the knights follow him. When the chariot enters the forest, Thieves swing on vines to reach the top of the chariot. Thieves later appear at the Cyclops' Cave, raiding the chariot and attack the Knights. The Knights rescue the Green and Blue Princesses, and go to the Wizard Castle to save the Orange Princess. In a fight with the Necromancer, he reanimates the corpses of past defeated enemies, including Thieves. Once the knights defeat the Evil Wizard, a Thief can be seen at the party in the Barracks, hiding behind a backpack.

Character Profiles

BattleBlock Theater-The Thief's archery ability will not score him a role in a feature film anytime soon. Though appearing in two games ain't too shabby. Watch out though. He tends to take extra slices on pizza day.

Character Interactions

Hatty Hattington

In BattleBlock Theater, all playable characters are referred to as "prisoners". The game's story mode shows that these prisoners are friends of Hatty Hattington, and they embarked on a journey on Hatty's ship. Their voyage ended abruptly when the ship got caught in a storm, and crashed onto BattleBlock Theater. The residents of the theater, the Cat Guards, capture Hatty and his friends, brainwashing Hatty to be their leader and forcing the crewmates to become actors in their dangerous theater plays. As Thief appears as a playable character, this means that Hatty befriended them prior to the game's events. Thief works with the other crewmates to escape BattleBlock Theater and rescue Hatty.

BattleBlock Theater

Thief makes a cameo appearance in BattleBlock Theater. A Prisoner based on the Thief was purchasable DLC in 2014 and from 01/09/2015 until 01/23/2015. Like the other Prisoners, they were a fellow crewmate and friend of Hatty Hattington. They were captured by the Cat Guards and was forced to entertain them in the BattleBlock Theater.It is available as DLC on the Steam Community Market.
